Send the calls you miss to a receptionist, from any country.
You keep your number. Your phone or your phone system passes the calls you don't answer to the receptionist, which says it's an AI, takes the caller's details and sends them to you. Three ways to connect it, depending on your phone.
1. A mobile phone: the standard codes
Most mobile networks accept these standard GSM codes. Dial them from the phone itself, with the receptionist's number in international format (for example +442045381770).
- Forward when you don't answer
**61*+[number]#, or with a ring time in seconds:**61*+[number]**15#- Forward when you're busy
**67*+[number]#- Forward when the phone is off or has no signal
**62*+[number]#- Cancel
##61#,##67#,##62#, or##004#for all of them at once
Some carriers use their own codes: in the United States, Verizon uses *71. If a code fails, your carrier's help page has its own. On an iPhone with Live Voicemail, turn Live Voicemail off first: Verizon says it stops this kind of forwarding from working.
2. An office or internet phone system
Most business phone systems can forward calls nobody picks up to an outside number. The setting has a different name in each one; from their own help pages:
- RingCentral
- Settings, Phone, Call handling, Edit, then Missed calls: Forward to external number.
- Microsoft Teams Phone
- Settings, Calls, Call handling and forwarding, If unanswered: the number and the ring time.
- Zoom Phone
- Settings, Phone, Voicemail and forwarding, When a call goes unanswered: Forward to External Contacts.
- 8x8
- Admin Console, Users, the user, Call forwarding rules, When user does not answer: Forward directly to a custom number.
- Vonage Business
- Admin Portal, Phone System, Extensions, Call Forwarding, Follow Me: your extension first, then the receptionist's number.
- 3CX
- Web client, Settings, Call Forwarding, Unanswered calls: External number, with the seconds.
3. No local number at all: SIP
An office phone system that can send calls to a SIP address connects over the internet with no number. That works from any country: no local number to rent, no paperwork for a number, and no international forwarding charge. Tell us your phone system and we set it up with you.
